About Yoshihara Yoshindo

He was born in Tokyo in 1943.
He studied under his father(1st Kuniie).
At the age of 39, he was certified as an exemption of examination sword smith.
His work has been highly evaluated, and nowadays there are many requests for swords from overseas.
He makes swords in the Bizen style and has a reputation for expressing Utsuri, the most important element of it. ※Utsuri( a kind of reflections ) is what looks like a pale white shadow when light is reflected.

He is also an honorary citizen of the city of Dallas, USA.
He always has a large number of disciples, and he raised famous modern swords miths such as Ohno Yoshimitsu.
