About Echigonokami KANESADA(HOTEI)


This sword made by the second generation of KANESADA.
He was learning from a sword smith called TERUKADO from the (Seki)ZENJYO family.
He lived in Mino (Edo Era), but moved to Osaka, where he became a disciple of the first KANESADA.
He was adopted, so he gave him the name KANESADA when his master's son grew up(around 1680).
His heyday was in the 1670s. 
A pattern called OOGUNOME is drawn, and JINIE is attached everywhere on the surface.
It is a sword that many Japanese sword lovers still love today.

POINT

The pattern of this sword is unique called "TOURANBA". Likely "Tsuda Echizennokami SUKEHIRO".
The sharpness rank of Japanese swords made by KANESADA is called OOWAZAMONO, and only 21 people in history have been selected.
